Founded in 2003, Kent-ITS began with a simple mission: providing reliable, "No Fix, No Fee" IT support to the Maidstone and Medway communities. For 20 years, we have been the "safe pair of hands" for clients navigating the complexities of the digital age.
However, as technology moved from standalone PCs to hyper-connected ecosystems, we realized that "support" wasn't enough. Modern businesses didn't just need someone to fix a computer; they needed an architect to secure their entire infrastructure.
Our Director’s foundations in systems engineering go back even further. Before Kent‑ITS was founded, he was entrusted with running a school network single‑handedly for several months while the IT manager recovered from surgery. With no formal training on the newly deployed RM CC3 environment, he taught himself the entire system by reading the manuals and technical notes cover‑to‑cover. That early responsibility shaped the calm, methodical, first‑principles approach that still defines our engineering today.

Today, Kent-ITS has evolved into a specialist Systems Integrator. We have moved beyond reactive repairs to focus on the Design, Integration, and Hardening of SME environments.

- Hybrid Environments: We are experts in both Windows (GPO) and Linux (Samba/XCP-ng). We build server environments based on performance and cost-effectiveness, not "vendor-lock-in."
- True Data Resilience: We specialize in the Grandfather-Father-Son backup methodology, utilizing offsite LTO Tape storage to provide a physical "air-gap" defense against ransomware.
